Au Vieux Paris d’Arcole has got everything: beautifully painted purple chairs & eau-de-nil frontage, half covered with sprawling bougainvillea. It is folded away behind Notre-Dame Cathedral & somehow remains a secret, making it an excellent site for coffee and of course for beautiful photographs.
Pont Alexandre III:
If you’re looking for the most ornate bridge in Paris this is it. It is painted in a pastel blue color & is adorned with ostentatious cherubs, lampposts and brownies. Standing on the left reservoir of the river with the bridge in backdrop makes for an excellent photo.
Basilique Du Sacré-Cœur:
Overlloking the whole city, the Basilique Du Sacré-Cœur provides what’s in my point of view, the best view in Paris. Not many people realize that they can access the zenith of the dome so at dusk you will be sharing with a handful of tourists who dared to mount the 300 stair climb. The summit of the dome possesses a narrow alley that offers you 360 degree views, a splendid scene to observe as the sun sets over Paris.
Passage du Chantier:
For images that reminds a sense of old Paris, please check out Passage du Chantier in the twelfth arrondissement. This cobbled lane has been to home to many furniture makers since the fifteenth century, and the artisanal custom continues today, with plenty of stores worth exploring. To infuse interest to your portrait, try capturing bystanders as they come out of the small street’s tunnel.
Champs Elysees:
This’s perhaps the most well-known street not just in Paris, but also all over the world. No doubt it is very touristy, but if you hang around after dark you definitely can find some fascinating & beautiful views to point your camera at.
